How do obtain a permit?
- Must be 15 yrs. of age
- For your success read the DMV driver’s manual and take the practice test. (unlimited attempts)

- Permit testing is only available to those who have never held a SC permit
- If you have previously held a SC permit, you MUST renew it at the DMV

When am I eligible for my License?
- Regardless of age, you must have held your SC drivers permit for 6 months or 180 days
- If you are 15 ½ you must have an authorization parental permission form, school permissions and instructor permissions forms completed and signed. This form is provided by RPM

Have a suspended license?
- Your suspension time must be completed in order to test with us
- You can renew your license with us as long as you have paid all fees due to the SC DMV

New to South Carolina?
- South Carolina requires all permit holders from another state to obtain a SC beginner's permit
- Out of state license holders will need to go directly to the DMV to transfer license
Not a U.S Citizen?
- You may obtain a permit with us as long as your documentations are in English, If your passport is in another language you must go to the DMV to get your permit.
- When going to the DMV, you will need to provide your social security card ( SS application /denial letter if you don't have the card), passport or visa and any other documentation proving your identity.
- You may obtain your license with us as long as you have a current SC permit.
- SC DMV requires English speaking for all testing, translators are not accepted - for more information for non English speaking needs please contact the International Department with SC DMV.

- All driving students are covered while driving with our instructors.
